How to Make Mushroom Coffee Taste Better: Hot, Iced & Latte-Style
Good mushroom coffee preparation is simple: use the correct serving, dissolve it thoroughly, then adjust water, milk, ice and texture to your taste. Here are three easy ways to prepare JH mushroom coffee.
Start with the product label
JH Original is the lower-caffeine option at 16mg caffeine per serving with six mushroom extracts and 40 servings per pouch. JH Energy Kick has 25mg caffeine, 10 mushroom extracts and 1,900mg bovine collagen peptides per serving.
1. Classic hot mushroom coffee
- Add one label-directed serving to your mug.
- Add hot water and stir until evenly dissolved.
- Add milk or creamer if desired.
- For a smoother texture, finish with a handheld mushroom coffee frother.
2. Iced mushroom coffee
Dissolve the powder first in a small amount of warm water. Add cold water or milk, then pour over ice. Pre-dissolving helps produce a more even drink than adding powder directly over ice.
3. Latte-style mushroom coffee
Prepare the coffee in a smaller amount of hot water, add warmed milk or your preferred alternative, and froth until the texture is even. JH's handheld frother uses a 10,000–13,000 RPM whisk.

Frequently asked preparation questions
Can mushroom coffee be served cold?
Yes. For iced drinks, dissolving the powder before adding ice usually makes mixing easier.
Can I add milk to mushroom coffee?
Yes. Milk, creamer or a preferred alternative can be added according to taste and dietary needs.
Do I need a frother?
No. A spoon or shaker can work, but a handheld frother is a convenient way to create a more even, latte-style texture.
